The introduction to the album establishes a general vibe for the album to come as well as alluding to several of the motivic themes found throughout. This is the hero’s “ordinary world”; familiar in the sense of the two main elements being modern rock-oriented guitars and modern hip-hop production. The themes represent the “Call to Adventure” our hero feels, but they are still masked in uncertainty and doubt.
