The hero has overcome the “grand ordeal” and has now “seized the elixir”. The “elixir”can represent a physical object (i.e. Excalibur, material wealth, a lover) or a less concrete thing (overcoming sickness or mental illness), but the hero regardless always acquires knowledge. They have embraced the new change like a form of reincarnation (not necessarily in the literal form) and can now begin the journey home. This track aims to be an upbeat, funky banger about trying to make new, happy experiences to overcome one’s that used to lead us into dark places. It’s okay for us to reflect on the past, but we must not let it cripple us from living our lives to the fullest in the future. We must take some time for ourselves to indulge in what we enjoy; hobbies, sleep, the arts, anything really that takes our mind off of the stress, as goofy or hokey as it is. This track is inspired by the hard funk sounds of The Fearless Flyers, Prince, Lettuce, and The Funky Knuckles.
